The challenge
- Design and coordinate the entire audiovisual production of an event where sports, entertainment and international broadcasting should coexist in perfect synchrony.
- Develop a lighting design designed both for the live show and for the television broadcast.
- Coordinate local and international production, production and suppliers, meeting very demanding timings.
- Ensure that every part of the show will work with absolute precision during pre-game ceremonies, spectacle and live operation.
What was seen
- An international broadcast for more than 200 countries.
- 4 days of competition and entertainment.
- More than 12,000 attendees each day.
- A system of mobile LED screens synchronized with the show.
What went unseen
- 6 Switch technicians traveled 6,872 km to take charge of the project in Abu Dhabi.
- Dozens of meetings between production, production and international suppliers.
- Zero margin of error: on-site coordination for show assembly, operation and timings.
